Attesa sits below Citizen's flagship GPS-satellite Attesa models but keeps the core formula: Eco-Drive solar charging, radio-controlled time sync, and Citizen's proprietary Super Titanium construction, which is both lighter and more scratch-resistant than standard titanium alloys. The BL5530-57E puts that into a genuinely thin case — just 10.2mm — while still fitting in a full chronograph, perpetual calendar, dual time, and an alarm.
The tradeoff for that slim profile is that this is a time-signal model rather than a GPS-satellite Attesa: it syncs to regional radio time broadcasts rather than satellites, so accuracy depends on receiving a signal, with ±15 seconds/month accuracy when it doesn't. For daily wear where thinness and comfort matter more than global GPS sync, it's Citizen's answer to a dress-chronograph hybrid.
