Seiko's Presage Cocktail Time series didn't start with a designer sketching dials in isolation — the first watches were developed with input from Ishigaki Shinobu, one of Japan's most respected bartenders, whose sense of color and shine shaped the glossy, gradient dials the line is still known for. Later releases drew on a second Tokyo mixologist, Hisashi Kishi of the Ginza district's Star Bar, for the specialty-cocktail palettes that followed.
This SARY199 carries that theme into a semi-skeleton "Midnight Cocktail" dial, letting light move across the open-heart movement the way it would across a drink lit by bar lighting. It runs on Seiko's automatic 4R38 caliber — 24 jewels, hand-winding, roughly 41 hours of power reserve — in a 40.5mm stainless case rated to 50 meters.
