Casio's Climber Line took the opposite bet: the case, case back, band, and rotating bezel on the PRW-35-1AJF are built from biomass plastic sourced from castor seeds and corn, with the bezel specifically using a reinforced formula since it takes the most impact of any part on the watch.
Underneath the eco-conscious materials, it's still a fully specified Pro Trek: a triple sensor reading direction, altitude/barometric pressure, and temperature, Tough Solar charging, and radio-controlled time sync from six stations worldwide, all rated to function down to -10°C. It's built for the same trail use as any other Pro Trek — the difference is what happens to the case material decades from now.
